It all started during a holiday visit to my hometown. I found myself deeply involved in managing the construction of our house—coordinating plastering, painting, wiring, and plumbing. I had to manage a mix of contract workers and daily wage laborers simultaneously.

I desperately looked for an app to manage attendance, track material costs, and calculate payments. I found many options, but none of them hit the mark. The paid ones were expensive yet still lacked essential features. The free ones were severely limited. Nothing was the 'full-packed' solution I needed.

Stuck in the 90s
Defeated by the software market, I had to resort to the conventional way: a physical register and a pen. It felt like an absolute chore to maintain records, manually calculate daily additions, and do multiplications for wages and overtime. It felt like I was doing a job straight out of the 1990s.

I realized that we are living in the era of AI and automation. There is absolutely no reason why anyone should be managing these complex records manually anymore. So, I decided to build it myself. WorkBook was created to be the ultimate, all-in-one platform for contractors, house building owners, and anyone who needs to manage a crew efficiently.
